Criminal History Records Check/Fingerprinting

All TSPC licensed teachers, administrators, personnel specialists, school nurses and those applying for reinstatement of a license that has expired for more than three years will be required to submit to a nationwide criminal history records check and fingerprinting in accordance with the rules established by the Teachers Standards and Practices Commission.

All newly hired employees not requiring licensure as stated above shall be required to submit to a nationwide criminal history records check and fingerprinting at the time of hire, at the expense of the employee.

Criminal records checks and/or fingerprinting are required by law and/or Board policy.  Any action resulting from such checks that impacts employment or contract may be appealed as a contested case.  All employment contract offers are contingent upon the results of such checks.  A refusal to consent to a required criminal records check and/or fingerprinting shall result in immediate termination from employment or contract status for the ESD.  An individual determined to have failed to disclose or have knowingly made a false statement as to the conviction of any crime on ESD employment applications, contracts, or ODE forms, written or electronic, may result in immediate termination from employment or contract status.  An individual determined to have been convicted of any crime that would prohibit employment or contract will be immediately terminated from employment or contract status.

Substitute Registration

LBL provides a list of substitute teachers for school districts within Linn and Benton Counties.  All substitute teachers who want to be included on the list must register annually. Please contact us at 541.812.2600 to request a Substitute Registration Form and Instructions.
