Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training Features & Benefits
- Focuses on prevention & verbal de-escalation skills
- Provides tools for decision making and management of complex behaviors
- Provides skills to recognize the stages of an escalating crisis
- Teaches decision -making skills to match the level of response to the risk of the crisis
- Teaches disengagement safety and physical intervention techniques within a risk assessment framework
Format & Details
- Participants will complete an asynchronous virtual training component (approximately 4-8 hours), as a PREREQUISITE to:
- In person full day training which includes synthesis and application of materials as well as physical intervention techniques. Location in ALBANY to be determined.
