Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is an in-depth two day workshop that prepares individuals to provide suicide first-aid intervention using LivingWorks’ evidence-based Pathway for Assisting Life (PAL) model. Backed by numerous peer-reviewed studies and government reports, ASIST is recognized in both SAMHSA and the Suicide Prevention Resource Center’s national registry of best practices.

  • It is a two day training that provides you with:
  • Skills to recognize & support a person with thoughts of suicide
  • The ability to conduct a safety assessment & develop a safety plan
  • Opportunities to learn from other participants & practice intervention skills
  • Training workbook, learning aids, & localized resources
  • Certificate of Completion
  • 13 CEs through the Oregon NASW Chapter for interested participants
