SUMMARY:2026-27 FALL Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Training
DESCRIPTION:\n 	VERBAL INTERVENTION TRAINING FEATURES &amp\; BENEFITS:\n\n 
 	Builds confidence and skills to verbally de-escalate and prevent escalati
 on\n 	Designed for staff not typically involved in high-risk situations re
 quiring restraint\n 	Equips staff with tools to manage their own emotions 
 and recognize escalating behavior\n 	Teaches situational assessment and pr
 actical de-escalation strategies\n 	Participants will complete prerequisit
 e asynchronous virtual training (approx. 2.5 hours)\n 	 8:30-12pm\n 	Mate
 rials and course fee (set by CPI) apply.  No fee is assessed by LBLESD.\n\
 n\n 	NON VIOLENT CRISIS INTERVENTION TRAINING FEATURES &amp\; BENEFITS:\n\
 n 	Includes Verbal Intervention Course instruction\n 	Offers tools for man
 aging complex behaviors and informed decision-making\n 	Teaches recognitio
 n of crisis escalation stages\n 	Builds skills to align response level wit
 h crisis risk\n 	Covers disengagement safety and physical interventions wi
 thin a risk assessment framework\n 	Participants will complete prerequisit
 e asynchronous virtual training (approx. 2.5 hours)\n 	Materials and cours

  	REFRESHER TRAINING:  VERBAL INTERVENTION OR NONVIOLENT CRISIS INTERVENT

 ining\n 	Reviews core models and strategies from initial training\n 	Pract
 ices physical interventions and holding techniques\n 	Provides scenario-ba
 sed problem-solving opportunities\n 	Shares updates on new physical option
 s and learning models\n 	Reinforces key concepts like trauma-informed care
  and proactive strategies\n 	Materials fee (set by CPI) applies. No fee is
