 -based teams are invited to t his PD opportunity.\n\nLearning Objectives: 
 You will learn about how to improve your team functioning as a mechanism f
 or improved student outcomes. The emphasis is on specific\, observable str
 ategies for improved communication\, collaboration\, and promoting staff b
 uy-in. This PD will also discuss how stress influences our interactions wi
 th our colleagues paired with suggestions to reduce the negative impacts.\
 n\nPresenter: Dr. Knowles has diverse experiences as an educator and resea
 rcher in educational\, home\, and community contexts. She has worked as a 
 special education professional for students with emotional and behavioral 
 disorders\, autism spectrum disorder \, and cognitive limitations across t
 he developmental continuum. Her research interests are housed under the de
 sire to improve equitable outcomes for individuals historically marginaliz
 ed by the education system and society. She has taught courses in diversit
 y in special education\, foundations of disability\, supporting students w
 ith low – incidence disability\, introduction to behavior disorders\, an
 d child studies.
