Session One: Nuts & Bolts: Crisis Response/Flight Team Training (with Keely Galon)
9am- 11:30am
This is a review the LBLESD Crisis Response Manual, a guide for school administrators and staff on response procedures during crises or tragic events.
This includes:
- “At a Glance” and “Day of Response” flowcharts
- Administrator roles and responsibilities
- Classroom guidelines & Strategies
- Support room procedures
- Sample forms and communication handouts
- Review of individual crisis response
Session Two: The Care Room, A Place to Process Loss & Grief (with Mark Summers)
1 pm – 3pm
This includes:
- Awareness of how humans process grief, trauma, and loss
- Awareness of our own processes for managing grief, trauma, and loss
- Learn how to provide support in the Care Room setting
- Learn about the Crisis Response process
