Mentor and mentee pairs are invited to join for learning and connecting using mentoring companion texts while collaborating with others in a similar role.

Who: First and second year teachers are invited along with their mentor or instructional coach

What: This virtual community of practice will provide time for connection and learning between mentor and mentee pairs as well as with others in a similar role. Opportunities will be provided to gain support for problems of practice and to delve into our provided texts, Mentoring in Action and its companion, First Years Matter for the mentees.

When: On August 14, we will have an in-person kick-off at Knife River Training Center for mentor and mentee pairs from 8:30-11:30 a.m. During this time, mentors and mentees will be able to get to know one another and become familiar with the texts we’ll be using throughout the year. A catered lunch will be provided after the session. Three virtual sessions will be held from 4:00-5:30 p.m. on October 23, December 4, and March 12.

How: Stipends will be provided through the WREN for attendance at the kick-off as well as for each virtual session.
