This year, LBLESD’s Technology Department has trained over 300 individuals representing more than 100 agencies across Oregon through our Cybersecurity Tabletop Exercise program. These hands-on, scenario-based sessions bring together IT teams, district leadership, business offices, and HR staff to practice responding to real-world cyber threats — from ransomware attacks to business email compromise —before they happen.
The response has been tremendous. In April, we’re expecting more than 200 participants from 80 agencies at our Cybersecurity Spring Summit at the CH2M Hill Alumni Center in Corvallis. It’s been incredibly rewarding to see districts and local government agencies take cybersecurity preparedness seriously and walk away feeling more confident and better prepared.
