Definition: Replacing legacy OM1 multi-mode fiber backbone with (6) contemporary OS2 single-mode fiber runs, (66) CAT6a cable runs to 33 locations, (12) single mode SFP+ transceivers for the new fiber backbone, and (2) Meraki switches.
Fiber Specifications – OS2 Single-mode Armored 12 Strand Fiber as specified in the supplemental documentation. Fiber will run from the MDF to 6 IDF locations.
Cabling – (66) CAT6a cable runs to 33 locations. Cheldelin Middle School has a Panduit jack standard.
Transceivers – The new fiber backbone will require 12 single mode SFP+ transceivers.
Switches – Cheldelin will need 2 Meraki MS225-48FP switches, or its equivalent.
Installation – Installation includes all parts and components needed to install fiber and Cat6a cable runs, including termination of new cabling in patch panels, as well as labor and materials costs.
